Which? Magazine boasted some great covers in the 1970s.

The Hand Drawn Map Association is an invaluable resource (ahem!). Nice idea mind you, and they’ll even pay you for any maps you post to them to cover postage.

Danny Zabbal’s improbable superheroes include retired cop Larry 3000 and the unfortunate Thunder Bear. Nice work that man.

Canadian illustrator Steve Mack has some delightful work in his portfolio.
Graphic designer Russ Mills’ portfolio features some innovative illustrations, created using some equally innovative methods:
“they begin life as sketches in ink, the tool of choice is the Bic ‘fine’ because it gives me a lot more mileage than more expensive, snootier fine liners that break if you give them too much stick. The sketch is transported into my ageing mac and then abused in photoshop (you may have heard of it) i use this because of the joy of multiple undo’s plus its the closest I can get to painting without painting.”
More info on Russ’ MySpace and blog.

Suffolk-based illustrator Simon Wild has a great portfolio that’s well worth a look.

The official Euro 2008 website has some lovely illustrations of previous winners of the tournament. Of course, you won’t find a single Englishman amongst them…

Everyone has owned an Etch A Sketch at some point. If, like me, you managed to draw little more than a misshapen stick man, you’re sure to be impressed by the handiwork of “artists” etchasketchist and Etcha.
