Outstandingly original advertising for a sickeningly ugly vehicle. The “Bushman & Eskimo” ad in this series is equally compelling.
The Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin has a new exhibition focusing on the “classic” period of paparrazi photography. “Pigozzi and the Paparazzi” has over 350 photos from a host of legendary photographers including Salomon, Weegee, Galella and Newton.
The Original 1940s Photos pool on Flickr boasts over 1,000 photographs, including a limited number in colour.
John Ivers loves roller coasters. So much so that he built one in his back garden. Judging by the video, it looks like his whole family will die of broken necks, but until they do it looks like great fun!
Fräuleinwunder Hildegard Knef’s über hip, neo-kitsch masterpiece “Holiday Time” is light-years ahead of its early 70s contemporaries. Remarkably, this was a B-side upon release!
Danny Zabbal’s improbable superheroes include retired cop Larry 3000 and the unfortunate Thunder Bear. Nice work that man.
