Panini won’t be issuing any England stickers for Euro 2008 thanks to the exploits of one Mr McLaren, the hapless imbecile. An entire generation of children and grown men who should know better will be denied the pleasure of collecting little adhesive images of the national team.

If footballers still looked like this, we’d definitely be winning silverware.
